Information map

The information map allows you to manage the map data for your event and share it with your team members: GPS locations of activities, points of interest at and around the event site, and the multiple tracks and zones for your sporting or cultural events. To upload your tracks and create your points of interest, go to Information Map in the main menu.

You can download a file with your tracks and points of interest at startup or return to it later.

Points of interest

The points of interest allow you to indicate on your map the location of various useful places for your teammates: information point, volunteer centre, safety equipment, road crossings, restaurants, etc.

To create a point of interest, click on the map at the desired location. Fill in the name of the point of interest, choose an icon to represent it on the map and enter your remarks if you wish.

To move a POI on the map, select it and drag and drop it.

By clicking on Search for a point of interest at the top of the page, you will find a list of all your points of interest sorted alphabetically, and you can search by the name of the point of interest.

Import tracks and zones

You can download a file with your tracks and zones from the menu at the top right of the screen > Import geo data. Supported formats are: .gpx, .kml, and .geojson.

Select your file and tick the box Import tracks and areas. Your file can contain multiple tracks and zones, but you can only upload one file. If you have multiple tracks/zones in different files, you will need to combine them into a single file before uploading.

To replace the current tracks with another file, simply download the new file as described above, ticking the box Replace tracks and areas.

Delete tracks

Click the Delete icon to permanently delete all tracks.

Import points of interest

You can download a file with your points of interest from the menu at the top right of the screen > Import geo data. Supported formats are: .gpx, .kml, and .geojson.

Select the desired file and tick the box Import points of interest. The points of interest included in the file will be added to your information map without overwriting existing points of interest.

Customize the map

To show or hide the menu for customizing your map display, click the Show/Hide icon at the top right of the screen.

Map Type: Choose from three different map backgrounds - roadmap, satellite or terrain

Tracks: Click on each track to show or hide it; the track name and color come directly from the uploaded track file.

Points of Interest: Click on a category to show or hide all points of interest in that category.

Linking an activity to a point of interest allows you to attach the GPS location of the activity to that point: if you move the point of interest in the map, the GPS location of the activity is also updated. Teammates can view the location of the activities they are assigned to in their teammate space.

To link an activity to a point of interest, click on the point of interest in your information map and then on the activities/shifts icon.

You can search for an activity that already exists in your schedule, or create a new one by entering the name of the activity. Then click on Add.

To unlink an activity from a point of interest, click on the name of the activity to go to the activity details page.

Display the information map in the teammate space

Activate the display of the map in your teammates' personal space to allow them to consult your information map, with all points of interest and tracks.

To display your information map in the teammate space, go to Settings > Teammate space.
